Post Christmas Thoughts..

Christmas time last year I was single (well not married anyway), childless, and my biggest thought was what I was going to get for Christmas.. Boy did that change!! Now I'm married, have a Son and a 6 year old Step-daughter, and now I am Santa. Talk about a head spin!! As you get older, it seems that the "magic" of Christmas dwindles. Less excitement, presents, and imagination.. And more reality. I have to say that this Christmas proved to me that the magic never really goes away.... It's just magic in a different way. True, I won't ever get to be a little kid leaving cookies for Santa and waking up at the crack of dawn to run down the hall to a tree FULL of presents again, But what I get now is better. Now I get to be the one who creates those memories for Gage. Sure he wont remember this Christmas or even the next few to come, but I will. Any who, here are the pictures I took this year:

His first teddy bear that Jimmy and I made for him at Build-A-Bear and his swing from Grandma and Grandpa Richeson. He got both of those presents before Christmas but I decided to put a bow on them anyway:

I realize that he can't open presents and doesnt really care/know what they are now, but what a great feeling having my Son on my lap opening presents on Christmas morning:
He wasn't sure what was going on, he's giving his dad the "Stink eye" in this one haha:

Waking up on Christmas morning with his stocking, He was in such a good mood. No fussing at all!:

Santa Suit! He wore this on Christmas eve AND Christmas day, SO CUTE!:

Our family on our very first Christmas =] We were on our way to go visit Jim's cousins who also have babies celebrating their very first Christmas!:

Relee & Adam, Terry & Logan, Jimmy & Gage. It's all of their first Christmas, how rad is that?:

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, wherever you were, with whomever you were with. Maybe in the near future we can get EVERYONE together for a big family christmas! We love you all! <3>

Okay, So Gage is getting so big sooo fast, I cannot believe he is already 7 weeks. I love watching him grow, watching him recognize things, and watching him laugh (It's the funniest thing). Jimmy gave him the nickname Gage-a-saurus because he tends to sound like a crazy teradactyl when he grunts and laughs. Here are come recent pix of the little guy:

First time visiting Snta (Who did not flippin understand that Gage cant hold his own head up):

Pumpkin Patch!!

We Went to the pumpkin patch today to look for some pumpkins (of course). We found a pumpkin patch that also has animals to pet, a corn maze, and some swings and things for kids to play on. Really cute place, glad we went there instead of just going to Vons =] Apparently it's also a christmas tree farm in december with lights and other fun stuff so im sure we'll be back.

Workin' Folks

Jimmy recently got hired at World Market (Cost Plus) as a supervisor =] It was a long search but it seems to be a great fit for him. I took this pic of him in his apron and name tag right before he headed off to his first day. I know, I know... Im a sap. What he doesnt know is that I balled like a baby right after he left. HAHA =] :

And just a week after he got started, I went on my long awaited maternity leave! Other than
the fact that im going to go crazy being home with nothing to do, I am soo excited to not be on my feet all day. One of my barsitas wheeled the office chair out onto the front floor for me on my last day and Carlyn took this pic =] :
